Dear Sir or Madam,

The mass support given last year by Polish society to the civic bill strengthening the prenatal protection of human beings, as well as the opinion polls, clearly show that the protection of life in its earliest stage is still unsatisfactory, even in Poland, which has a relatively life-friendly legislation.
In this context, it seems necessary to take a wide international perspective to reconsider the intellectual foundations and legal means for the protection of human life in the prenatal phase. The International Law Conference which will be held on 24-25 September 2012 at Warsaw University will give an excellent opportunity for this. Please accept our cordial invitation to meet in Warsaw. Among other practitioners and scholars we will host  Professor Paloma Duran y Lalaguna (Madrid), Professor Jane Adolphe (Florida), Professor Andrzej Zoll (Kraków), Professor Christian Hillgruber (Bonn), and Professor Jose Miguel Serrano Ruiz-Calderon (Madrid). We look forward to welcoming you as well.
The Conference will be held under the High Patronage of Her Royal Highness the Grand Duchess of Luxemburg, the honorary patronages of His Highness Paul, Duke of Oldenburg and of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Poland Dr. Jarosław Gowin.
